About AMPS Follow-up Days

AMPS Follow-up days are called AMPS-2 Interpretation and Documentation Workshops.

These are intended to build on AMPS skills developed from using the AMPS with clients in any area of clinical practice or research. Many occupational therapists attending an AMPS course focus on learning to administer and score the AMPS. Later as skills in using the AMPS with clients increase a need to learn more about interpreting the AMPS graphic results and other reports and documenting these is needed. These two separate but linked one-day Workshops are intended to full this gap.

To attend these workshops you MUST:

  • Have completed a five day AMPS course and successfully calibrated
  • Have OTAP software and the 7th edition of the AMPS manual (you may need to upgrade)

A copy of the OTIPM manual will be supplied at Workshop 1 for use in both workshops and for practice.

Some comments from participants following AMPS-2 workshops:

  • Attending this workshop will enable me to interpret AMPS results better, recommend appropriate outcomes and justify the role of occupational therapy within my service
  • The use of AMPS is central to our service, updating my skills on this workshop will enable me to provide effective outcome measures and an evidence base to my practice
  • This workshop will change my practice... how I document assessment results and client's goals, and next, to change service documentation to focus on occupation
  • Excellent, most useful training I have attended for a long time. Provided information that will significantly facilitate improvement in my daily practice

These are intended to build on ESI skills developed from using the ESI with clients in any area of clinical practice or research. Many occupational therapists attending an ESI course focus on learning to administer and score the ESI. These two separate but linked one-day Workshops are intended to full this gap.

To attend these workshops you MUST:

  • Have completed a three day ESI course and successfully calibrated
  • Have OTAP software and the 3rd edition of the ESI manual (you may need to upgrade)

ESI-2 Workshops are planned to commence towards the end of 2016. Dates and venues on the 'Follow up Days' menu button
