Organise an AMPS course
AMPS courses are 5 full days in duration, and can be organised by any appropriate organisation such as an occupational therapy service or a university.
There are minimum requirements for:
- Room size and facilities
- Furniture
- Accessibility
- Audio-visual aids
In addition to providing an appropriate venue, the course organisers are responsible for the costs of providing the course materials and paying the honorarium of the two AMPS faculty who will teach the course plus their travelling and subsistence costs. AMPS UK & Ireland organises the teaching faculty, and the delivery of course materials prior to the start of the course. The course organisers provide the venue and teaching facilities, including audio visual aids and refreshments.They are also responsible for course advertising, booking of places and administration.
Depending on the availability of AMPS faculty it can take up to a year from initial enquiry to the start of the course so early preparation is advisable.
